Ian Weldon constantly refers to himself as ‘not a wedding photographer’ on all his social media pages. That’s because his photos are far from any wedding day norm that it can be said questioned whether you’re at a wedding at all.
Weldon explains “I’m completely unbiased in the photographs I make. A sort of photographic democracy where one photograph is no more important than any other. Where all things are equal, people the same as objects.” The subjects of his photos show the down and dirty, genuine real moments that take place on these special days. “Much as I’d love to stand around for hours lining people up and taking photographs of every combination of family members and guests, I’ve more important things to be doing. And quite frankly, so have you.”
