Over thirty years ago, Nintendo took a gamble on an action adventure game about a bounty hunter with a canon for an arm and the ability to turn into a ball. Little did they know that they’d end up creating a franchise that spanned three decades with 14 games and a fanatic fanbase.
Personally, I came to the Metroid fandom a little late. I had my intros to Mario and Link on the NES, but it wasn’t until my SNES days that I got to meet Samus Aran. She got me in her bounty-full arms with that one.
So I figured, let’s celebrate the adventure with some cool Metroid facts.
