The moon’s always held a mystical and mythical place in our history. It’s the companion to the sun, the first piece of rock we’ve touched outside of Earth and it’s a bright white sentinel in the sky. It also comes and goes on a cycle, that’s defined how we chronicle time, in a way.
So, given it’s importance to us, humanity’s obviously given it a lot of thought and scrutiny. Some of it scientific and factual, but a lot of it, full of legends, tall tales and magical untruths.
