Look, I understand that before the days of satellites, airplanes and international cooperation, the process of making a map was a lot of guesswork and estimation. But, that said, just because you don’t know what’s on the other side of the Earth, doesn’t mean you get to make shit up.
And yet, libraries and museums all over the world are full of maps that claim sea monsters exist, place islands in places that don’t have them and decide that entire states are, in actually, floating islands.
I mean, geez, the imagination on these guys.
