I don’t know how you’re going to spend your Christmas Day tomorrow, but if you find yourself going to the movies, I have the highest of recommendations to give out.
A month and a half ago, I saw a film called Uncut Gems, directed by the Safdie Brothers (the madmen behind 2017’s Good Time, another film that comes at the highest recommendation). It’s a nail-biter of watching a gambling addict by the name of Howard Ratner in the diamond district of New York systematically destroy everything around him in the name of a “big score.”
And Howard Ratner is played by… Adam Sandler?
