If you believe stereotypes, mass media and my mom, then you probably think that there are two kinds of people in the world; those that are super active, fit, healthy, and don’t spend a lot of time in front of the TV; or, the typical, out-of-shape movie binger that loses their breath getting up from the couch. In reality, however, we know that this is bullshit.
On one hand, there are some negative side effects to do nothing but watching TV/movies, sure, but it’s not the worst thing you can do, and this new study proves it.
It turns out, according to science, that watching a movie in the theatres, is like taking a brisk walk. That’s music to my ears.
