When Denyse Holt didn’t get her daily Wordle update from her 80-year-old mother, she became concerned. That concern grew to fear of the worst though when her mother failed to answer the phone or respond to text messages from both her and her sister.
Holt, who lives in California, contacted her mother’s neighbors in Chicago and asked them to check on the house. The neighbors reported back that her mother’s car was in the driveway, but no one answered the door.
