As many of you know by now, I’m an absolute Tolkien nerd of the highest geekery. I have watched these films, along with their incredibly long extended cuts, countless times. I’ve read the books along with the Simarillion, and numerous letters written by Tolkien himself that delved even deeper into the lore of Middle Earth. And of course, I made a hobby of collecting official memorabilia, which shows zero signs of slowing down. Put simply, I’m a LOTR nutjob with serious issues.
And with the new LOTR Amazon series finally starting to drop subtle trailers and hints into the Second Age, I’m even more ready to see how much further studios bring the written page to film. Major, MAJOR, fingers are being crossed by myself and those hoping it does the works of Tolkien justice as the movies all have thus far.
