As someone who has quite literally made friends just by quoting this movie in public (Sup Sean), I have to say it holds a special place in my heart. As the sequel to The Mighty Ducks, D2: The Mighty Ducks was released on this day three decades ago.
After 30 years, it’s safe to say this is the best movie in the original trilogy. There, I said it. Argue amongst yourselves, but D2 truly does it for me.
If for some reason this movie has never made its way in front of your eyeballs, whether its because you hate sports or don’t understand the rules, it does not matter. This movie is for everyone. It’s Disney and it’s pure chaos. They sing Queen around a campfire, what more could you ask for?
