Yesterday, we released the series finale of LONGSHOTS. It’s the underdog story of Leo and I told from the beginning in bite-sized 15 minute segments which culminated in Episode 11: “First They Laugh At You”
LONGSHOTS podcast was a bit of a longshot itself. It was a storytelling format that had rarely been done before; used to tell the untold story of theCHIVE. But every week it continued to gain momentum until yesterday’s episode took the top spot on Apple.
Sprinkled in every episode is a wink and nod to theCHIVE community. And of course, the “Hillbilly Genius” episode is a love letter to how you all saved the company.
Whether it was our days spent at the Playboy Mansion before we escaped, or the true story behind “Keep Calm and Chive On” the podcast become a something of a phenomenon. So much so that I can now confirm there will be a Season 2 which will launch early next year. There will also be a bonus episode about Chive Charities dropping in a couple weeks. If you haven’t tuned in yet, here ya’ go.
I’ll have my State of the Union ready for New Years and I can’t wait to reveal some of the new initiatives we will launch next year. Hint: Trivia is involved.
