The moving letter Carl Sagan sent Chuck Berry on his 60th birthday

Over the weekend the world lost rock legend, Chuck Berry. Berry passed away in St. Charles County, Missouri at the age of 90. Upon the news of his passing, people around the world have been reflecting on the amazing contributions Berry has given to American music.
In 1986, Carl Sagan and his wife, Ann Druyan, sent a heartwarming letter to Chuck Berry on his birthday. In the letter, Sagan and Druyan wish Berry a happy birthday and explain that a phonograph record of Berry’s ‘Johnny B. Goode’ was on the Voyager spacecraft that launched in 1977.
