From an unconventional New York City comic book company known as Timely Comics, to bankruptcy, to a record-breaking cinematic universe worth billions, Marvel sure has come a long way. The company’s first publication, Marvel Comics #1, was released in October 1939 and to celebrate its upcoming 80th anniversary, fans took to Twitter to #SumUp80YearsOfMarvel.
