I want you to reread the title of this post real quick. I want you to notice two particular words:
“the studios”
Because trust me, PLENTY of the movies that follow were obvious flops to audiences. Seriously, there are multiple films on here that as soon as they were announced and released, I knew they’d flop spectacularly, but that didn’t stop these studios from not only spending shitloads of money to make them but to promote them as well.
(Seriously though, while many of these movies covered their film production budgets, those films spent so much on advertising that they still lost money).
