It’s easy to parody a film, or throw in an homage or two to classic cinema, but to truly make it unique and funny, you need to push it too far. While the Simpsons have done their share of references, there’s one thing missing from theirs; a bite. It’s tame, kinda funny, but doesn’t really do much.
Now South Park; that’s satire with a hard R. Their shout outs to films are insanely funny and clever, and I’ve collected some of the best from the first few years. There’s nothing too controversial here (because you know that they’ve done some shocking shit), and it’ not an exhaustive list.
