The movies we’re looking forward to at Fantastic Fest 2023 (20 Photos)

Since 2005, Austin, Texas has hosted Fantastic Fest, a film festival dedicated to genre film. Not to besmirch the good dramas or “prestige” films of the world, but Fantastic Fest is the number one destination for science fiction, fantasy, action, and horror films from around the globe. This year’s festival kicks off on Thursday, September 21st, and I can’t wait to dive in.
Frankly, covering last year’s Fantastic Fest was a career highlight, and I’m certain this year will be no exception. So, I’ve put together a guide of films I’m personally looking forward to at the festival this year. Keep in mind that this is not a comprehensive list for the entire festival, there are dozens of films at the festival this year, including four secret screenings of films we don’t even know about yet (for reference, there were only two secret screenings last year).
Also, since many of these films are making their debut, no trailers may be available at this time. Links to trailers will be provided if available, but that will not be the case for some of these films.
