On Wednesday, August 31st, we held a historic charity auction. Hosted by Coinbase, the US’s largest crypto exchange, over 60 bids were placed, resulting in a final bidding war. At stake was a chance to win a beer with Bill Murray, the original 1/1 NFT “A Great Story” and to support Evelyn, a 3 year-old girl with a CLDN5 gene mutation and a secondary diagnosis of intractable epilepsy.
Evelyn, the chosen recipient, has a condition so rare, there are only 8 other known cases worldwide. She’s been on and off life support a half dozen times and she’s kept alive by 14 dedicated specialists. She relies on her single mom, who currently has no transportation.
