So the picture on the left is me at about 390 lbs. I am 6 ft 4in so as you can imagine, life was starting to get difficult. I was in a failing marriage and super unhappy with with everything including myself. I drank a lot, to escape. Not to party or be sociable. That picture was on New Year’s Eve, three years ago. That next morning I woke up and decided that my state of mind and body would not change unless I did it myself. So I was one of the dreaded “resolution people” at the gym. Only I did not quit. I turned it into a revolution instead. My teenage son stuck by me and we clicked on a whole other level. This would be the second time he’d save my life. The first was when he was born.

Fast forward three years later to the pic on the right and I am reborn. Reborn spiritually, mentally, and physically. I am out of a toxic marriage, engaged to the sexiest, kindest woman I have ever known, have a huge family now (still trying to figure out how to house us all; 7 of us total) and thriving in a new career. I still knock a few back when I can, but is usually just to celebrate an occasion. Not beer though as it’s so rough on your body, I usually go with a tall glass of Woodford on the rocks. Never changed my eating habits……got got freaking happy and worked hard. I am sitting at about 280 lbfter dropping to about 240 lb to start my “rebuilding process”. I am training to do strong man comps, I aspire to open a gym where I will encourage resolution people to come. It only takes one decision to change your life.
