If you are like the average person, the odds are that you not only have the occasional nightmare, but most people tend to have some recurring ones that plague them over and over. I for one have this one nightmare where I had promised my old high school theater teacher (Shoutout to Mr. K) that I would be off-book and ready to perform the lead role in a play I was cast in, and that I would not need to rehearse with the rest of the cast. I then realize the morning of the opening night I FORGOT TO LEARN MY LINES, and now the whole play is gonna be ruined because of me. The terror! The SHAME!!
I assume my recurring nightmare has some psychological metaphor rooted in being stressed out about not being prepared for life, or something like that. But no matter how many times I have it, I always think it’s really happening and it wakes me up to a cold sweat.
That’s my one strange nightmare, but let’s hear from some others what are theirs…
