While the DSM (The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) does not recognize nymphomania as a diagnosis, the DSM-5 Sexual Disorders Workgroup has proposed criteria for Hypersexual Disorder – a condition that causes unwanted or excessive sexual arousal or activity.
