The cultural shift from talk to text has completely changed dating. 15 years ago, no one was thinking “OK… she waited 30 minutes to reply, so I should wait an hour… don’t wanna seem too eager.” No one was conducting studies that prove adding a period on the end of a text message gives it an angry tone. And no one’s relationship was thrown to the rocks because of the word “yes” in response to the question “are you up?”
But nowadays, these are all very real and very depressing facts of life. Which is why this tweet blew up with a bunch of responses from people who found it all too relatable.
