Today is Dictionary Day — a day celebrating the birth of American writer Noah Webster, according to National Today.
Born in 1758, Webster is known for publishing the very first dictionary in 1806.
Webster updated and expanded the dictionary for the following 27 years. By 1828, it had become a powerful resource and reference book.
To celebrate, let’s look at some of the words added to the Merriam-Webster and Oxford English Dictionary this year, thanks to an article on Insider.
