Chipotle took a little bit of heat on Twitter this past weekend when people started finding “backyard leaves” in their food. Before people used their common knowledge or did a quick Google search, they went all ‘Keyboard Warrior” and Tweeted their displeasure at Chipotle. Here’s the kicker though – they were bay leaves. You know, they kind that have been used for cooking since Ancient Greek times?
While they’re not exactly supposed to be in the food, they’re used for adding flavor to the rice and are completely edible and safe. Sheesh, people. They get a little bit of E. Coli in their food and suddenly every foreign piece of food is deadly?
