There’s a big ass elephant in the room, and it is PETA taking a stand against classic animal phrases. The organization is calling these traditional idioms ‘speciesism,’ which they hope can one day be as socially unacceptable as racist and homophobic language. In order to scrap these words from the human vocabulary, PETA has released a handy list of safe alternatives that won’t hurt animals feelings.
