The high school I went to was pretty heavy on suspensions (like that one time a fight broke out between two guys and their respective girlfriends got involved with the fight to the point that one of them prevented a hall monitor from breaking up the fight by attacking her with an umbrella), but getting expelled is reserved for truly “exceptional” fuck-ups.
And I think these stories fit that description pretty nicely.
