As a man who never broke above 5’6″ inches myself, I’ve witnessed my share of girls over the years who seemed to look right past me (or over me if you prefer) when it came to considering me in any romantic capacity. I used to argue pretty regularly with my taller friends that every inch in stature below 5’8″ was an exponential dropoff in consideration by the fairer sex. I know, I know, what a bunch of sour grapes this Napoleon complex idiot has, right? But for any of my short brethren out there who know what I’m talking about and have witnessed this bias first hand, this post is for you.
Simply put, a guy was openly told by his Tinder match, who herself was only 5’1″, that she preferred taller men.
Side-note, that’s another thing both guys and girls tell you, “Just find a girl that’s shorter than you. Simple as that.” I’m afraid it doesn’t work like that, in fact generally short girls overcompensate when choosing their partners. The rational being if somehow they were ever to have kids together, the taller man’s DNA would help balance out their kid’s height. God forbid they be born short as well. I digress…
