Police Officer Andrew Gilchrease responded to a 1-year-old girl accidentally locked in the car during Atlanta’s summer heat. The rescue was simple; smash the window in and unlock the door but the interaction with the child and mother is what makes this video hit the heart-strings.
Officer Andrew Gilchrease:
“I was communicating with her as much as I could through the window and she was calm. She’s the rock star in all of this. She was calm. She didn’t panic. I was just fortunate to be in a position to help someone that was in need.”
The grandmother will not face any charges because the Cops recognized that it was clearly an accident.
