This is incredibly sweet, but not all that fatiastnc. The reason most two year olds can’t communicate is because they lack the muscle coordination in the mouth, lips, tongue, and throat. To put all of those together to create certain sounds is much more difficult than placing your hands and fingers in simple positions. I must take issue with the statement, “Language is not a privilege, it is a right.” It is neither. Language is a function of human communication. To call it a privilege or a right implies that it is something that can be given to you or taken away from you. I’m not trying to be a downer, but step back from the emotion and cuteness. It’s still good, don’t get me wrong, but not earth-shattering.

Rats are some of the most awesome animals. They get such a bad rap, but they are such sweet, affectionate, and intelligent animals. And highly cute, especially in pictures like that.
