“Safety First” is for pussies (23 Photos)

  • Viper

So, this is what being first comment is like… i don’t see why people make such a big deal of it…

    • HellHathNoFirst

How does it feel on top, big man? Did you climb a rickety ladder to get there? And kill all your adversaries? You totally said the ‘f’ word.

    • alicia

It’s amazing!!! My boyfriend thinks the same with me. He- is a black man, lol. We met online at an interracial dating site_________ **** B l a c k W h i t e C u p i d (C o m) ***** ______—a nice and free place for singles- black & white, to interact with each other. Maybe you wanna check out or- tell your friends. 😉 😉

  • HellHathNoFury

Emily posted mine on the Berry yesterday, some dude in Seattle hungover and trying to attach himself to window-washing cables. We were waiting with bated breath for the fall.

    • HeartUnderTheRose

Those were your pics? Dammit, why can’t anything like that happen when I have my camera?! Oh wait, that’s because I live in Kansas, where nothing happens but wheat growing . . . fuck.

      • HellHathNoFury

In morbid honesty, I was taking pics for when the death investigation happened. It didn’t, his co-worker screamed at him til he came down, but he had a small crowd gathered.

        • Creepsareforkeeps

Hey Hellhathnomates? Why do you get thumbed down all the time? I find myself giving you as many thumbs up as i can (not literally, unless you’re into it!) just to balance things out.
          Haters gonna hate.

          • HellHathNoFury

Just what everyone wants, a ‘pity thumb’.

            • SpatulaAssassin

I don’t get it, what is it about serial comment artists that inspires so much contempt? Or is the thumb, in your case, a gesture meaning “down here, biatch”?

      • j12goose

Don’t forget the rediculous heat……….Oh and the storms that seem to grow up out of the ground.

  • Gordon of Hesselink

#11 have i seen that in “the three stooges” before?

  • dt520

I may not like the modern New York, but the people who built it had balls of steel like the beams they used.

    • Random Crazy Person

Most of the balls are now in another country and were replaced by stupidity.

  • chickensauce

  • Infamous9

Hey, If it wasn’t for the stupid, How else would anything get done?

  • ken

    #s 5, 7, 19 FTW

I wonder how many workers fell in building some of those early skyscrapers.

I can imagine some folks at OSHA enjoying this thread.

    • Underhill

Some of those famous photos were ''studio'' shots. Basically, shopped.

  • Clint

Those kids must be grounded. :-\

    • Amanwithanunecessarylongname

Clint…I’d say their father is an electrician like myself who realizes it is only unsafe if they go inside the cabinet….but then again…if it starts buzzing….RUN!

  • thetech2

I have done some umm contracting in other countries around the world most of which I carried a gun and most of the pics I could have taken and should have taken I would be shot for posting but I have seen lots of this stupidity all over the world and it never ceases to surprise me just how lucky some people can be at some time in their lives I love the ladders going up the church looks like some sort of holy school of training or right of passage to be fit to serve the lord lol lets see ys climb that with three guys shooting at ya and two kids throwing rocks

  • Anonymous

#20 the rope is so he pulls his buddy out with him so he won’t be alone in the land of stupid for eternity.

#23, I’m sure that pushing a refridgerator up a ladder with one’s face isn’t good for the complexion

  • Mr Mobius

Surprised the last picture wasn’t the famous photo of workmen having lunch on a beam of steel overhanging a huge height in New York back around the start of the 20th century.

    • Creepsareforkeeps

That picture was just a rafter within the Empire State Building. It wasn’t actually hanging over the side.

  • DaddyD

#5 looks shopped. Although it’s hard to be sure because of the angle, it does not appear that the forklift could have cleared the door with the missile loaded. In addition, the back wheel of the forklift doesn’t look quite right.

    • bcbeltes

So because you’ve never seen a front wheel drive, rear steer forklift it’s ‘shopped’? This is a standard ‘lift.

    • Rusty

Not hard to get the bomb out of that door. (Actually, I’m not even sure that it -is- a bomb … could be a fuel tank.) Come at the door at an angle, so that one end is fully out of the door, then swing the rear of the forklift around. Rear-steer gives you a LOT of maneuverability in tight spaces. You can do some amazing things with a forklift like that. I’ve done similar things, although not with bombs, and not with an ultimate fail at the end of it by driving off the dock …

  • SaintxXxAsh

scary! being on a properly set ladder scares me enough, but to be on a ladder held up by a ladder or person? noooo way.

  • doo dah doo doo

    #14 wins

  • im just me

    last one looks shopped

  • bomb23

#21 the Chinese ARE known for their acrobatics.

    • workin_donkey

And their delicious General Tso’s Chicken…and blind dudes that can take on a whole boatload of badass karate guys…and chopsticks…but mostly delicious food.

  • zym

One attack of seasonal allergies, and #20 goes from WTF to “Alejandro was a good man, a man who will be missed….”

  • clip

    Safety 3rd….

    1. Fun
    2. Cost
    3. Safety

That’s pretty much how my life is decided….

  • voiceofreason99

#11 i love. (3rd man in blue says) oh, you need the wrench? i’ll go get it. splash! oops.

  • aosux

Who drills their temple? And a guy holding up another guy on a ladder takes some super strength.

  • scarfie

#7 This should be enough to channel 1.21 gigawatts worth of lightning – go Marty!

  • http://partywithbob.info/poople/?p=1025 Poople » Safety schmafety…

For some reason, after years of watching my dad, my husband & his dad do home ‘repairs’, these pictures don’t seem all that bad.
