the perfect example of peace and love.

    • Wing Zero

… well, more an example of how strong "mom" hormones are in animals. Without those, this likely wouldn't happen.

      • CaptainRational

        ignorant.. not everything is scientific

        • CK67

Ironic coming from someone named CaptainRational….

        • its_forge

nnnnnnnnnnnnnno, when you're talking about creatures that aren't sentient, it's pretty much straight science there Homey.

    #14 — I have to admit, I aww'd.

  • realitycheck

Very few of these pic were actually of one animal 'raising' another. Mostly they were just hanging out or in the case of some of the pics, just captured as they were together for a brief moment ie: ostrich and giraffe.
    But nice anyway.

      come on let us pretend

I hate when reality comes back to strike me again

So who cares? Are you always so pessimistic, or didn't you get any last night? The awwwww factor is tremendous! Just the idea of animals living in peace and harmony with one another is awesome.

    • Coldzilla

Oh really? Care to point out which are which or are you just talking out of your ass………..?

  • misschris

    • llama beans

I was going to post the same thing. Great stuff!

  • bob

In many ways… the lack of a high-reasoning mind makes animals superior to we discriminating humans… Sometimes it's better to just stop thinking so much and let the love flow… 🙂

  • The Dude

Chive you are posting these cute animals in the midst of our lower back problems and daily randomness if you keep this up people might get the impression that we are not just a collection of hormonal ADHD teenagers

Call Wilford Brimley…….I think I have diabetes from how sweet this pictures are!!

(or AIDS from how gay my comment was?)

    • Hatesdiscrimination

You do realise that not only Gays get AIDS don't you? Or are you just one of those people who discriminate against everyone. Comments like yours should be banned!!!! But then again without idiots on the net we wouldn't get a laugh!!! You clearly don't know much about anything with your comment on diabetes just from sweets & the one about AIDS & gays!!!!!!!!!

Anyone know what kind of awesome dog that is in #5?

    • AnimalsFriend

I was curious about The dog in #5 as well, so I did a little searching…it is very similar to a Dutch Shepherd Dog as pictured on the following website:
      http://www.vonfalconer.com/dutchshepherd.html

If it's not that dog, it might be a good ole' Mutt…some of the best dogs out there. Hope that helps.

  • Lars

Visited Siracha Tiger Zoo in Thailand a few weeks ago. They got lots of these "pairings", primarily pigs and tigers. Weird but fun to watch

  • Moose

This was awesome. To think I almost didn't open the link because it was animals related. (Not that I don't like animals, but one has only so much time to interwebs at work.)

  • equalizermax

    #20 – Best Buddies!

  • dece

7's nothing special. the nurse animal is more like a cat than a dog anyway.
