#19 Made by a Chuck Norris karate chop!

    • Sesuj

The real story behind it is almost as good. It is called Split Apple rock and it is in the Abel Tasman national park in New Zealand, and back in the day Captian James Cook hit it with a cannonball from his ship and it split down the middle.

  • Owen Smithers

    I don't believe it.

    • ThatGuy

      HABEEB IT!

No HQ for these? Not cool, Chive.

    • JHL1

      1) Open another tab with google images
      2) drag the pic you like from the chive to the google images box
      3) click on the link next to the top pic in the results that says "All Sizes".

On the next screen the first pic will be the largest resolution.

      Easy peasy

  • Maxwell

I see some pretty sweet zombie fortresses especially #29

    • spears

I am guessing you haven't read the zombie survival guide. You wouldn't last a week up there.

    • Neoides

Given that there are a bunch of monasteries there (Meteora) it's hardly a place for the undead

  • Guest

  • UTES

I love UTAH. Sexy women and awesome places to see

    • leon

except the women, of course 🙂

      • G Monie

I've lived in a lot of places and I can unequivocally say that the women in Utah are the best. Something about that Mormon breeding I suppose.

    • Annie M.

Andy, is that why you guys are known for your pubs, because rocks are the only interesting things there?

  • dCaf

everyone should check out a place called S'Archittu, its a awesome beach spot in Sardinia Italy that has an awesome big stone arch that everyone jumps off. It's awesome in pictures, but from experience, being there is even better.

      • slick

#9 is balance rock in the Garden of the Gods near Colorado Springs.

        • electric boogalo

Except it's shopped. The large formation in the background is also in Garden of the Gods, but not as shown.

          • R-Dub

Wrong. If you look, the shadow of the tree is on the rock on the right. There is a road that runs between it and balanced rock. Not shopped.

      • Steverino

Hey Chelsea, there is a fantastic book written by Edward Abbey called "Desert Solitaire". It is about his experiences while working as a park ranger in Arches national park back in the fifties. Awesome, beautifully written book that will make you want to move to Moab ! It is one of my favorite books…check it out !

        • ChelseaRules

I already want to move to Moab!

    • 15Gumbies
