If you think you have dust in your eyes now, go watch the youtube video….

    • _ThisGuy_

You know, in case you needed the video…

      It does have more impact.

  • IamAwesome

    Adopting > Buying

    • Jon

      Damn skippy.

    • Backseat Chiver

agreed, done it twice. won't do it any other way.

      • Ned_Plimpton

He's talking about adopting, not public masturbation.

        • Backseat Chiver

So was I. Clearly, I have publicly masturbated far more than twice.

    • _ThisGuy_

      Here, this will help:

      • majorfathead

      • Panigale

        Clever post Assbag

  • smh

    Very sweet story!

    • KeepCalmDriveOn

And very sweet people to take care of this buddy. Lucky dog 🙂

  • Backseat Chiver

    Got teary eyed at this.

I have a dog and have rescued one before. If only all of us could experience the love a animal companion. We might all have a little compassion. We are and should be judged by how we treat the weakest among us.

    great post chive.

    • Rick

"We are and should be judged by how we treat the weakest among us." I agree completely

      • Designated Chiver

The weakest, yes. The laziest, fuck 'em.

        • Backseat Chiver

yeah, I never said anything about the lazy.

  • Ferngully

At least this one didn't end in snuff film fashion like the giraffe.

    • jack

no kidding.. thinking the same thing..

    • Barry McKokkinner

      WFS! ("well. fucking. said.") 🙂

    • Biggus Diccus

HAHA so true. That was a huge middle finger at the end of a good story.

  • elchicoNick5

    Awesome job guys.

    • lemur

yeah worldstarhiphop ran the video last week.Try pulling stuff off of things other than reddit

  • LucretiusCarus

Glad that dog found a good home. The people who left her in that condition should have some answering for themselves to do. Bastards.

    • Backseat Chiver

They will, in this life or the next.

    • responsibledoglover

Human Society forced the original owners to give this dog away because they had 5 dogs as the result of a couple combining two households. 3 medium outside dogs and 2 tiny (under 4 lbs, inside only) toy dogs. The animals were well taken care of and got plenty of attention but because of a retired neighbor with nothing better to do then complain about a random dog barking led the human society to inform the family they are in violation of the state law limiting the number of dogs a family can own without a "kennel license." Arrangements were made with family members to care for the dog. The new family that was going to take care of him said he got out of the house when the front door was left open and never came back. SO, the way i see it, the human society who should have been doing something more constructive, forced the loving owners to either 1) apply for an expensive "kennel license" that they wont qualify for because of the amount of land they own or 2) Get rid of their beloved family member.

The original family tried everything they could to keep their dog in their home but the jerkoff human society is now in the business of bothering responsible loving families with more than 4 dogs, forcing them to get rid of perfectly taken care of animals, and practically ensuring they end up in a worse situations. I wouldn't be surprised one bit if this is the story that led to the crappy condition this animal was found in.

I recently lost a friend and family member of 6 years to the fact that the AZ human society is in the business of tearing families apart and taking the law too far.

Kudos to the family that took in Fiona. I hope my lost dog faired as well as she did.

      • thedude325

        Fucking government.

        • The_Dood

The government totally sucks, you mother fucker. The government totally sucks.

      • LucretiusCarus

So you're basically saying because this happened to a friend this probably happened to Fiona? It's lamentable what happened to the dog of which you speak, but let's not just engage in rank speculation and say the government is the source of this particular doggie's problems.

  • digitalpimp

Dogs are friggin awesome, but people like that are even better.

  • justing

am i the only one who was expecting another giraffe story with the dog being dead at the end?

    #20, #25

last post was defective mail order brides, now i'm off to adopt a puppy.

No wonder the only thing i can tell my friends who haven't heard of the chive is 'you just have to go there, man'. explanations are useless.

    • Backseat Chiver

agreed. every time i try to explain, they are like, "oh, just girl's asses?" no, it is so much more, but yes, those too.

      • Albus Q

      • The_Dood

My explanation of the Chive: Hot REAL chicks, funny shit, and human compassion, all rolled into one awesome site. Or you could just go with the tried and true: Probably the best site in the world.

        • Biggus Diccus

Yeah I just say it's the best site in the world. Shit really just sells itself.

    • thedroh

yup, same here "what's The Chive?" i always just tell them, "probably the best site in the world"

  • J ling-Ling

Happy ending to a sad story….nice to know there are still kind people out there!

    • Garrett Bailey

viewed backwards, this is a story about a happy dog that is given away to a different family that sends it to a doctor to remove its vision just so it can be driven far away and abandoned to sit in its own urine and develop a nasty flea infestation.

  • Fun_with_Numbrs

My puppy concurs that this is a great story!

  • edd

the video is even sadder. It must be making it around this week. My wife told me about this on Sat. very sad

    • Panigale

Thanks for informing everyone that your wife told you. ASSBAG

  • james gate

  • echogeo

Absolutely no shame in that cone! Chive On Fiona!

  • whyme1973

Warms my heart knowing there are folks out there that would help Fiona like that. Faith in Humanity restored indeed.

    • Panigale

Yes, faith in humanity is restored because someone saved a dog. ASSCLOWN

  • Saul

    Que triste pobrecito perrito..
ahh just kididng guys i speak english "How sad, poor little dog shes beautiful" glad she has a great home

  • Master_Rahl

#26 NICE! A little love goes a long way. Such a great story for that poor mistreated pooch.

  • Shawn

Thanks for the cry and restoring faith that there is good in our world.

  • Verbal_Kint

  • twavor

    #26 Indeed.

    • Panigale

Indeed? Are you kidding me? Somebody saved a dog. It was a nice thing to do for the poop animal, but saying that the faith in humanity is restored is absurd. Clown.

  • lonewolf

I have three rescue dogs and I was tearing up for this.

    • Juschlln

I adopted one last year myself… really hit home to me. I don't think I've ever had tears of happiness, but this did it.

  • PFizzle

My wife and I work with various rescues. We recently started fostering. If you scroll down and look for "Cisco" we fostered him recently. My wife fell in love with him. He was alone on the street, underweight, covered in fleas and heartworm positive. Now he's a completely different dog, and has a spirit to play and to love you. If you are in the Houston, Tx area and looking to adopt, go have a look
