My goal, as an Amateur film-maker hoping to make it my career, is to make a video that's Chive-worthy

  • Rocky67

where will those games be held? and on what channel cause that would be cool to watch

    • ThtTrumpPlaya

They'll be London after the Olympics. I don't think it's on television. However, I think they stream some medal events online

  • DChiver

    Goosebumps! Goosebumps Everywhere..

    • caleb

Fucking onions, they're in the room, I swear to shit.

  • Joshua

I don't care who you are, this is inspiring.

  • givethedjabj

Well done Channel 4 for this, going to be immense. More inspiring than the 'normal' olympics

  • David

I think one of the most amazing of these people is Oscar Pistorius who will compete in both the Olympics and the Paralympics.

  • Brock Samson

Anyone know the name of the song?

    • Mightymike78

'Harder than you think' by Public Enemy

  • tomdabom89

4 years time we'll be seeing Taylor Morris on the paralympic podium I'd say

  • Ryno!

That video is amazing. Too bad it makes me feel like a lazy piece of crap for not being as awesome as those guys, and I am fortunate enough to still have all my limbs.

  • Mightymike78

It's the London Paralympics 29th August – 9th September. On UK's channel 4. Make sure you see wheelchair rugby, it is insane. I take my hat off to all the paralympians.

    • Andy Valentine

Otherwise known as Murderball. That thing is brutal. The documentary of the same name is worth a watch for anyone who hasn't seen it

  • https://www.facebook.com/adamsundphotography Adam Sund

    that was pretty awesome

  • A.J.R

Awesome! They are the right people to rep USA

    • P90

They were all members of the British paralympic team.

    • Jim

Yeah thats the best of British right there!

  • kenny

Olympics are cool, Paraolympics and Special Olympics are AWESOME!

  • NelPit

    No Excuses!

  • meeeee

good for Channel 4, in Mexico nobody seems to care for the paralympics ever and there is no way to watch it … but thanks to the internet I'll find a way…

  • parkatola

All the Chivers and Chivettes may already know this, but it was news to me a couple of weeks ago. The "Para" in paralympics doesn't refer to paralyzed or paraplegic or anything like that. It's from the root for parallel (beside, alongside), and refers to a competition held in parallel with the olympic games. I felt like a doofus for not knowing that, and thought some here (as the Chivers and Chivettes are higher quality people than most) might be interested. KCCO at both games!

  • Grant

Thanks again, Chive. You never cease to amaze.

  • Dave

You're damn right they're superhumans. I cannot wait to check out some of the Paralympics this year!

  • Proud South African

Watch out for Oscar Pistorius also known as "Blade Runner" who is a double amputee and who will also be competing with able bodied athletes in the Olympics. Truly inspirational…

  • Paralympian

I am a former Paralympian. This video really touched me. You will likely not see any TV coverage in the US but you can catch it on the internet here.

    • UK Viewer

The paralympics are pretty big here in the UK (mostly because we're good at it). I'm glad Channel 4 are covering it as they usually do a pretty good job of making things fun and informative.

I'm way more excited about the Para's that the normal Olympics.
