It's like someone looked at the historical now and then photos and wanted to recreate them with movies, only he has no photoshop skills.

I think the b&w photo helps to seperate it somewhat from the background to help make it stand out – having it in colour would probably be quite jarring. I do agree, though, get rid of the border, and print the location as well!

#1 Batman is incorrect. That scene was filmed at the CMU Mellon Institute in Pittsburgh. Just saying.

It would also have been nice if this guy matched the focal length and exposure of the photos to sell the illusion better. Or even just posted 1 pic of the place and 1 pic of from the movie. The results he got was not worthy of posting on Facebook, let alone The Chive.

To everyone complaining that the edges need to be trimmed:

Not your project, not your presentation. Just enjoy it. If the person who submitted this intended to create an illusion of sorts, they probably would have used something other than their hand and normal printer paper to achieve it. It's not a special effects contest, it's art.

To the individual who took the time to take all these photos:
