Could we tone down the amount of "this is my awesome dog! That's dead…" I know it sucks it hurts and u want to remember them but dang that was depressing :/

At first I thought you were trying to be funny. Then after the 3rd or 4th post of this, I thought you were just trying to be an annoying troll. After the 15th time, I really just feel sorry for you. Being such a lonely person with zero content to add to any topic what so ever, you spend all day just trying to get attention anyway possible.

You and Paula_ should get together for lunch sometime.

      • suck me dry

at first i said " suck me all the way off " but sometimes I say " all the way off " other times I say " all the way off is how far i would like you to suck me " this time i said "ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss" how obssssssssssssssservant of you….. now ssssssssssssssssuck me all the way off

      • JSJ

Ha that's a great idea! This douche bag and paula can go out for lunch and suck each others cocks!

      • Guz

Well I think it's quite funny. Beats, 'MOAR', 'FTW', 'like a boss', or any of those other predictable things people put on in their desperation to get a post on the first page.

  • Los

First….to say dogs are better than cats

    • Hara

Dogs are companions, cats are peers.

      • KCO617

Cats…are not…peers. They are evil-doers with no place in my home.

        • North

          ^^^^ This

Cats are evil, soulless little assholes.

    • fuzzbuster

The dog thinks, "He feeds me, he shelters me and he loves me. He must be a god!"

The cat thinks, "He feeds me, he shelters me and he loves me. I must be a god!"

  • Doolittle

#9 What? You pooped in the refrigerator? And you ate the whole wheel of cheese? How'd you do that? Heck, I'm not even mad that's amazing. How 'bout we get you in your p.j.'s and we hit the hay.

    • Burt Reynolds

In English please, you know I don't speak Spanish.

So stupid, but so awesome. Biggest lap-dogs going.

    • Marley

They sure are. #37 is mine. Love that guy!

  • AssClown

#36 Back in my day, dogs sat on the ground and licked their balls with happiness, not complain about not getting the right colour iPad, argh I mean food bowl.

  • Cookie

I got something in my eye……….

  • OhioChiver

#24 Unlike boomerangs, chihuahuas will not return after thowing them. o.0

#36 first laugh of the day. thanks, chive

  • KCO617

#44 I feel for you man…I had to bring my beagle to be put down after 16 years of friendship and I haven't been so wrecked in my life. Crying like a baby as I type this and I DGAF what my co-workers think.

    • ThatGuy

GAH! That was like my beagle Bandit. Smart as a whip, fat, and happy. He was my first dog at 5 and I had him all the way till I was 17. He really was my best friend. RIP "Blanket."

    • Ohms

I feel you on that brother, I was there back in March. S*it hits hard, house is a lot quieter, but there's always good memories.

    • Matthew Kenny

So sorry this picture is heartbreaking…I feel for you. We just lost our dog 2 weeks ago it is a awful thing to go through. I'm so sorry for your loss.

    • Nicky B

Ahh same here. had to put down my beloved White German Shepard after 11.5 years. Brought her in on that same blanket and started tearing up when I seen it.

    • Guz

One day of pain out of sixteen years is a deal worth taking though. I collected two pups on the same day and they both died at around 14. Wouldn't have missed it for the world though. Easy to say now, but I hope you start seeing it that way soon.

      • KCO617

I lost my childhood English Springer as well after about 14 years, it sucks when they don't run to you at the door for a few months but it goes away after a while. Don't see myself getting another pup for a few years.

    • Tootie

First time I saw my dad really cry, when we had to put down Odie, our Beagle. I still remember 21 years ago bringing him home….RIP Odie. You were a damn awesome dog, & a kids best friend!

    • Tristan

Thanks guys. I still miss Millie every day. My other dog, Marley, hasn't been the same since. This coming weekend I am getting two female German short haired pointers for him to play with. Im sure there will be plenty of pictures to come of them playing.

  • Laurie

#55, I'd much rather find a dog at the end of a rainbow than a pot of gold :)!

  • tv_paul

#44 My heart goes out to you. I've had to do this more than once and it's never easy. Please think about adopting a shelter pet in the future not to replace her but to honor her memory by giving another dog a chance at a good life.

    • OhioChiver

Well said Paul. No one ever said a good friend in life couldn't have a tail.

      • KCO617

        Love this.

    • BSS

Nice post. There are many friends waiting to be discovered at your local shelter.

    • allensize04

My brother and I had to make what is probably the hardest choice in our lives when we had to say goodbye to our dog of 15 years, Cooper. My brother received him when I went to college. My daughter grew up with the best dog ever created.

      • Tristan

It was most definitely the hardest thing I have ever done. I got Millie as a Xmas present and fell in love instantly. I will always love her as I know she loved me.

  • _DoC_

Reminds me how much I miss having something to keep me company. I mean, it's not like my left hand can go fetch…

    • robin

Shelters, or maybe even roaming the streets. I got my little guy in a parking lot. He's been my bestie since.

  • Laxin20

#49 got to love a muddy dog!

  • batman

    FUCK DOGS!!!

    • The Truth

      no sire, fuck you.

    • AMERICANmullet

      FUCK YOU!!!

    • Meh

Please take the above statements and apply them directly to yourself as needed.

    • Clown Baby

I'm pretty sure that is illegal.

    • Dan

Batman owns two dogs. OH MY GOD! What have you been doing to those poor animals?!?

  • Dan

"Dogs will always be the best companions." Here that Mac, your days are numbered cat boy.

    • KCO617

      Well he probably heard it.

  • jbcrazylife

    I need a dog!!

  • misschris

    #14 Snoop Lion

  • Ribsta

#49 If you look very closely you will see there is a dog in there.

  • Tyler P

Truly the best friends any man will ever have.

  • Catdog

As much as I love dogs, no one ever posts pictures of their cats that have just passed away, putting a little bit of a downer on the post. Just sayin.

    • Ribsta

      That's because they'd have to post 9 times. 😉

    • oye vey

TRUE. And OMG, if my elderly dog drowned I'd be drowning my own self in a bottle out of guilt. Yikes, there are pet grief support groups that would be a better forum for those kinds of pics.

That's because cats are not people in fur coats. They are barely even pets. This from a person who likes cats also but they don't relate to humans in the same addictive manner that dogs do.

    • Drunkendave

It's because nobody gives a shit if some crazy bitch's cat dies.

    • KCO617

Cat's hold no dependence to you…they can fend for themselves for weeks without any attention or recognition (and probably prefer it that way). I've had 3 cats growing up, 2 of them were total assholes and 1 was a little derpy so I liked it…but never loved them like I've loved all of my dogs.

    • Inferno

Cats are independent animals. They may have been domesticated but they're still introverts and would rather be left alone.

Dogs are pack animals. They're a lot more like children in that regard and because of their dependence on their owners. They need to be in a group of peers and one of the amazing things is that they see humans as peers. There have been experiments done where dogs have been found to look to humans for help earlier and longer than wolves have. It's no wonder that people are more attached to their dogs than to their cats.
