The sequoia tree, commonly known as redwood trees (though the species of trees have distinct differences) are among the tallest trees on Earth, reaching up to 379 feet (115.5 m) in height (without the roots) and up to 26 feet (7.9 m) in diameter at breast height. They can also live from 1200 years up to and past 1800 years making them some of the oldest living trees on the planet.
