#13… before you complain. is it Hurricane Katrina Level?

    • NoProblmHere

It'll never be….'cause these are people that can take care of themselves, not just sit around waiting for the gov't to hold their hand.

#2 Sure, Its all fun and games 'till someone gets their junk chewed off by an ice- piranha

    • marschie

haha, it's the venician traditional mask. does look like a piranha though.

Venice is done really, it's slowly sinking and it STINKS because of all the flooding and crap thats floating around. I actually think it would be more pleasant with all the ice (no smell) than going there on a summerday.

    • Buh-buh-butta

They are planning on installing a sort of anti-tide wall to counter this (the flooding, not the smell). It's called the MOSE project (like Moses, I guess?). It's incredibly expensive. There is no way that it could ever backfire, right?

Have you ever been to Venice? It really doesn't smell as bad as everyone makes it out. BTW i went on a hot summer day.

      • MylesofStyles

I've always wondered if people with allergies have a hard time visiting Venice. I would think there would be so much mold that if it were in a normal house anywhere else in the world they would condemn it as unsafe.

    • WTF

Actually, the constant, overpowering smell of sewage makes your eyes water and your sinuses run, which flushes out any allergens from the mold. Quite therapeutic actually. And people travel there from all over Europe just to enjoy the aroma.

#11 See New Orleans? It's not that bad. But this will be you in 20 years.

    • HatBomb

      Your ignorance is astounding.

Fresh fish right at your table, oh yeah.. Not that “fresh”

I don't think brown trout counts

Every cent they make in tourism must go directly to repairing. I've been there twice have seen how they first build a dam then pump the water out to repair a section of foundation. Incredible, but its a losing battle.
