It's North Greenwich. London. As it says on the sign. It also only looks nice because it was right after a refurb, before it was open.

  • unlovedbyal

100% of the underground (subway) stations I have been to in Europe have smelled of piss and look nothing like the above pictures.

  • Charles

I could entertain myself for weeks down there

    • DaveF

      That's what she said.

  • trainspotter

European public transport is the tits. I wouldn't be surprised if Mogadishu has better public transport than my home town!

    • http://bubbashrimp.com Bubba Gump Shrimp

Tits are the best things ever. Shouldn't talk about them like they're something negative, buddy. ๐Ÿ˜‰

      • trainspotter

    • Pilo

Nr. 10 is located in Berlin Germany. The name of the "Untergrund-Bahn" station is "Heidelberger Platz" in Berlin-Wilmersdorf. The station was build 1913 after a design from the architect Wilhelm Leitgebel. Similar designs can be seen at the stations "Fehrbelliner Platz" and "Hohenzollernplatz".

  • Got Grit

much better than the tubes in Marryland / DC. Good job EAU.

    • AnyoneForCoffee

#9 is my local stop and looks just as good in real life (What's up, Laura? Tube stop envy?). Westminster and Canary Wharf are just as impressive.

  • WirelessCable

Russia, Russia, Russia, this isn't a collective of Europe…

    • Slate Stone

I believe that Moscow is in the European continent. If I am right, technically he isn't wrong in naming them European subways (tubes for our brothers and sisters across the pond)

  • Mel_Gibson

      NYC

  • somedude

    • goldfinger0957

Munchen has some pretty awesome subway stations and the main station is pretty cool as well. America needs to take a pages out of Germanys book when it comes to public trans.

  • http://twitter.com/TJexcite @TJexcite

#3 The Russian stops that are all fancy where for the private members of the communist party in the 60's that could double as a bomb shelters.

    • Yuriz

Bullshit. I have lived both in Moscow and in the US and all the pictures from the Moscow metro shown here are 100% public and have always been that way. Some of the other pictures are from Sweden etc.

You are right that there used to be a secret metro line for the government that had a couple stops for safety reasons. They have the same thing in DC.

#4 looks like a Dalek birthing chamber or something…..

    Socialism seems awful doesn't it.

    • Jimmy Jam

What an idiotic thing to say! Read a history book, numnuts.

    • Ted

It is actually. Pretty subways, bridges and stately buildings does not make those countries decent and happy places to live, because people, (the vast majority of them) don't care much for such set dressings, if freedom doesn't exist. The socialist governments tax the citizenry into near poverty, in order to build and maintain these superficial structures. Freedom!!! it's what humans naturally want and yearn for, not pretty subways!. Folks from around the world are still killing and dying to come to the USA….for the freedom that they don't have in theirs.
