Cadence is a female pit bull that was found bloodied and scarred in a lot in LA. Veterinarians believed the pit bull had been used as a dogfighting bait dog.
The Hope For Paws group were able to get her into a veterinary clinic to get her x-rays and start her on antibiotics.
They put her under the gas with puppy anesthesia to clean up the wounds around her face.
After her surgery Cadence made some new friends.
And played some dress up.
Then it was time for Cadence’s Entropion surgery, to fix her eyes.
As always, of course, the dreaded cone of shame had to be worn briefly. She wore it with pride.
Her eyes are in great shape now.
And now she’s hanging out at her foster home, recovering (and swimming), waiting to be adopted.
And BTW, she’s great and gentle with all the kids she meets.
Be sure to visit Hope For Paws and donate so they can continue saving dogs like Cadence. And if you are interested in adopting Cadence, email them for more info.
