The entire movie is beautiful to watch and knowing the great lengths that everyone went to in order to complete the film just makes it that much better. Even though Leo went through hell to nail this role, you’ve got to give a shoutout to Tom Hardy and the rest of the cast who actually stayed out there a couple of months longer than Leo to shoot the rest of the movie.
Oh, and one last thing. There have been rumors speculating that Leo slept in an actual horse carcass while filming. Though this scene looks incredibly realistic, Leo has since confirmed that the carcass is just a set piece and not the real deal.
Regardless, hats off to Leo, Tom, Director Alejandro González Iñárritu, and the rest of the crew for making such an incredible movie. Also, cinematographer Emmanuel Lubeski deserves some praise as well for some of the best cinematography film has ever seen.
If by some miracle you missed the trailer, HERE it is.
