As you guys know, we'll be in Key West to ring in the new year. Fate would have it our flights get in quite early and once you get to Key West there is nothing better to do than start drinking. The second the wheels hit the ground, Patty and I have decided to embark on an informal bar crawl at our favorite watering holes.
We've heard the bars have loaded up on Resignation Brewery's new KCCO Gold Lager to quench your island thirst. If you're in town on Monday, December 29th, we're looking forward to raising a glass with y'all at one of the most magical places in the world.
Here's what we're thinking.
No need to get any tickets for this, it's just a good ol' fashion day of drinking.
John and Patty
For the fourth year in a row theCHIVE is spending the new year celebrating in Key West. The nationwide kickoff for KCCO Gold Lager will be well underway and we'll be bringing a ton of it with us to the southern most point in the ol' US of A. If you've ever made it to the Conch Republic you've no doubt visited The Porch in the downtown area of Old Town Key West.
The party will go from 9pm-2am and Sekond Nature will be playing all night long. You have to be 21+ to attend and tickets are $15 so start making those resolutions for 2015.
Next Thursday, we'll be heading to New York City for a special screening of The Interview with our NYU Chivers. It all goes down at the AMC Loews Village 7 theater on 66 3rd Ave at 8pm, Kim Jong-un says he can't make it but it should still be a fun time. Movie starts at 9, but we'll be checking people in and grabbing a drink at the Village Pourhouse across the street at 8pm. There will be a few surprises in store for all those that can attend.
Tickets are first come first serve but you need to have the code TheInterviewNYU to get one. Please be kind to your fellow Chivers and only RSVP if you can absolutely make it.
See y'all soon!
P.S. - Since the movie doesn't officially come out till December 25th we'll be checking in cell phones before the movie.
