If anyone looked exactly like a stereotypical outlaw, it’s this buddy guy.
Although born in the States, Billy was quite possibly Canada’s first stage coach robber. It is believed that he was behind B.C’s first train robbery in 1904. He was also known as the “Gentleman Bandit” due to his politeness when robbing people.
It is also widely believed that Bill himself came up with the saying “Stick ’em up!”
Billy died while serving time at the Georgia State Penitentiary.
