Even if you only ever caught one episode of The Crocodile Hunter, you remember Steve Irwin. That overly genuine and goofy Australian guy who was as endearing as he was insane, effortlessly teaching you about the sanctity and wonders of nature while inches from death.
His life’s work left an impact on many people, and the Australia Zoo saw it fit to dedicate a day after him, November 15th. It’s known internationally as Steve Irwin day, and it calls for people to wear khaki in Irwin’s honor and to call attention to his favorite things – Family, Wildlife Conservation and Fun. It also asks people to support the Wildlife Warriors Worldwide, whose mission is “To be the most effective wildlife conservation organisation in the world through the delivery of outstanding outcome-based programs and projects, inclusive of humanity.”
We miss you, Steve. You can donate RIGHT HERE!
