I spent the better part of 9 years working in restaurants in high school, college, and before landing this job. The one thing I’ll never forget is how different it is being on the other side of the plate. Without spending time in a restaurant, it’s hard to know the amount of work that most* servers put into their jobs.
*I say most because there are some bad servers out there who definitely do not deserve any tips
