When Disney announced their lineup of titles when Disney+ launches, everyone lost their minds. I mean everything is there. You want catch up on your MCU watching…. oh wait, there’s a few missing. No need, I’m going to break my heart all over again with UP… no? What gives?
So, here’s the thing. Disney+ has over 600 titles available on Nov 12th when it launches in the US, Canada and the Netherlands, but there are a lot of glaring omissions that just don’t make any sense. You’ve got the sequels, but not the originals. You’ve got TV shows that were decent, but not the films that inspired them.
But before you say, “well Martin… it’s a matter of licenses and contracts…” I know that, but along the way, Disney’s found a way to co-stream or break deals early in their favour. Just saying.
I mean, there’s enough to start me off, but honestly, I’m bummed about some of these.
