Hands down, my favorite assignment in college was for my social deviance class. In order for us to better understand that something may be deviant, but not illegal, we had to go do an abnormal activity that was odd but wouldn’t land us in jail.
Being the smart-ass that I am, I decided that I would dress up in my pajamas, walk into the local furniture store, and proceed to take a nap on one of the beds until an alarm clock (or employee) woke me up.
To my surprise, no one bothered me for a solid 2 hours and I walked out of the store with no issue.
While I knew I wouldn’t get in trouble, these folks thought they could do whatever they wanted without consequences. Boy were they wrong.
