Everyone hold up two fingers and repeat after me: “On my honor, I will do my best, to do my duty to God and my country, and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.”
Don’t worry, I won’t hold you to it. But if you’re a guy who grew up in America, chances are you pledged those words at some point and your little eager beaver heart really meant it. Some pretty important people in our country’s history took the Oath, too, like Martin Luther King, Jr., Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, John F. Kennedy and four other U.S. Presidents, and Bill Gates.
