Meet artist, David Irvine. If you haven’t seen the trend going around lately, the internet is all about upcycled thrift store paintings. It’s a simple enough concept. David just happens to be one of the best at adding his personal touch to an existing portrait.
The contrast with painting a modern subject over top of a classical background is incredibly eye-catching. Irvine tends to use pop-culture references in most of his upcycles.
