Would You Touch The Cow Orb? (23 Photos)
A video was posted to Twitter earlier this week, showcasing a phenomenon called amorphous globosus, that can sometimes happen during livestock pregnancies. When a goat, a horse, or, in this case, a cow, is pregnant with twins, sometimes one twin can absorb the other.
There is a chance, during the absorption, that a clump of cells is left behind. That clump then develops into a sphere of meat covered in fur, sometimes containing vestigial organs. I find it cute, but I can understand why some might be put off by it. It might reassure you to know that amorphous globosus is not living due to not having any functioning organs. (PSA: Do NOT google the human version of this! That shit belongs in a horror movie.)
The video quickly made its rounds on Twitter and introduced the phenomenon to a lot of people, which, unsurprisingly, shocked them. I’ve collected some of the best reactions for you to see. Let me know if you find this wonder of nature adorable or atrocious!
