Keeping a large family fed is no easy task, and when you’re strapped for cash, the act of grocery shopping can be daunting and demoralizing.
A mother of five named Ashley Jordan found herself in this very position at a Walmart in Columbia, South Carolina, last week. But thanks to the kindness of a cashier named Sharnique, Jordan’s tough day turned into a blessing.
As Ashley stood at Sharnique’s register, rummaging through her wallet next to a cart full of food, Sharnique decided to lend a helping hand and pay for half of the groceries.
Ashley shared the story in an emotional Facebook post
