53 Year Old Man Swims ENTIRE 315-Mile Hudson River
Do you know that feeling of satisfaction when you set an incredibly high goal for yourself, and against all odds you actually reach it? There’s nothing quite like it, and Lewis Pugh knows it.
Lewis Pugh is a British-South African Swimmer and holds the title of United Nations Official Patron of the Oceans, appointed in 2013. Pugh is known for pushing his body to extremes as a way of bringing attention to the importance of our aquatic ecosystems.
He has previously swum the length of the River Thames in 2006 and he was the first person to have swum down a river underneath the Antarctic Ice Sheet in 2020. His most recent accomplishment, however, has been swimming the length of the ENTIRE 315 miles of the Hudson River over the course of a month.
